Bold Summit

Last week, I had the privilege to attend the BOLD Summit luxury interior design conference at the Riviera Resort & Spa in Palm Springs. As a business owner, I'm dedicated to keeping up with the current business trends in the interior design industry and how to guide our clients through all phases of the design process in a fun, educational and organized way! Interior design is one of the rare businesses where the designer wears many hats including being a mentor to your staff, a consultant to your client, a creative with your architect, and a problem solver with your contractor.

During the two day conference, I was able to mix and mingle with like thinkers and designers who have to jump the same hurdles I do with the business and industry as a whole. The conversations were inspiring and the presentations had me on the edge of my seat.

The most important thing I took away from the conference is a fairly simple term and one I've heard over and over again from when I was growing up, and that is, to be CONFIDENT and believe in yourself. A good rule to follow and trust. I met so many wonderful interior designers and business leaders at BOLD and I'm happy to say I'm eager and ready to see what the rest of this year is going to present to me!

While I was in Palm Springs, I took advantage of the shopping! The town is full of amazing one of a kind vintage and mid century furnishings and decor. Here are some of my favorite finds!

Does it inspire you to start any new projects this summer?

In addition to BOLD and shopping, I was incredibly inspired by the desert landscape of the national parks including Joshua Tree, which was like being on another planet.
