Holly Hickey Moore
Born and raised in the Lone Star State, Holly graduated Magna Cum Lade from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences in Interior Design. Her earliest work was quickly recognized, and she was recruited to work for Baxter Design Group, an award winning interior firm based in San Antonio. During her six years at BDG, her portfolio expanded to include boutique hospitality, retail, and luxury residential spaces. Furthermore, she was officially licensed by the CIDQ (Council for Interior Design Qualification), an industry benchmark for excellence in education and experience for designing interiors with regards to the health, safety and welfare of the public.
Her expert’s eye for design is the product of over a decade’s worth of experience influenced by a passion for art and travel. Indeed, her work contains design elements from New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Charleston, Santa Fe, Miami, Montreal, Vancouver, and Vail with foreign accents derived from the trendy cities of New Zealand. Years of observation and collected inspirations from travel have molded Holly’s design philosophy, updating and broadening her aesthetic. Fashion also influences her design. She looks at how she can translate a piece of clothing or wardrobe that really inspires her into a space. She is focused on creating vibrant, layered, and eclectic interiors. With every project, she strives to design a timeless living environment with multi-generational appeal. She is edgy (and a little rebellious), designing spaces that are complex and unique, yet intuitive and comfortable.
Holly is constantly building relationships with the professional community. Holly has been a member of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, AIA (American Institute of Architects), IIDA (International Interior Design Association), ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), the Home Builders and Remodelers Council of Vermont, and was on the board of the AIA Homes Tour in San Antonio, Texas.
